Hello everyone! Today we are going to review the Hibiscus. An interesting set from the ever growing botanical line. So let’s start with the box.
The Box

The box design is amazing, the dull, boring and insanely creative 18+ black background fits well here. I like the green glow behind the model. On the front you can see the main build and on the back some more details.

The Instructions

The instructions were clear. But the set involves too much repetition. More about this later.
Review
The Hibiscus looks great. The flowers have a great design and the use of the sea shell elements is a great design choice.

The leaves use standard botanical elements which is a little boring but then we get to the vase.
I found something interesting during the instructions. Have you build The Orchid? I did. The vase interior design is the same.

It was very praised at launch and done by the amazing design master Mike Psiaki.
I I decided to check Brickset to see who designed this set. They don’t even show it.
LEGO hasn’t publicly listed the name of the individual designer for this set.

No information in the instructions either.
So they stole this from Mike, my favourite LEGO designer.
In all seriousness it is an ok move and it makes for a good building experience.
And for 660 pieces a price of 70$ is OK.
I got it at a discount. If you find it even cheaper it is a great set!
